Saaremaa & Muhu – Island Retreats & Nature Incentives
Unique conference venues and group logistics on Estonia’s islands
Saaremaa is Estonia’s largest island, a place where time slows down. Famous for its juniper forests, wooden windmills, and medieval history, it offers a completely different pace from the mainland.
For DMC Estonia, Saaremaa is not just a summer holiday spot; it is a premier destination for high-end incentives and retreat-style conferences. It is where modern spa hotels meet ancient traditions.

How We Get You There
Getting a large group to an island requires professional coordination. We make it seamless.
The Ferry Crossing: We manage all bookings for the ferry from Virtsu (mainland) to Kuivastu (Muhu Island). The crossing takes just 25 minutes on modern ferries with Wi-Fi and catering.
Coach Transport: Our buses drive directly onto the ferry—your group stays comfortable the whole way.
Travel Time: The total drive from Tallinn to Kuressaare (the capital of Saaremaa) is approx. 3.5 – 4 hours (including the ferry), making it ideal for a 2-3 day program.
DMC Services on the Islands
1. Muhu Island (The Gateway) Most groups stop here first. It is known for its luxury and handicraft traditions.
Pädaste Manor: A world-class 5-star luxury manor hotel. Perfect for exclusive board meetings or high-budget incentives requiring total privacy.
Koguva Village: A protected fishing village where we organize authentic outdoor lunches and walking tours.
2. Kuressaare (The Capital) The hub for larger groups and conferences.
GOSPA (Georg Ots Spa Hotel): A design-forward wellness hotel popular for corporate retreats.
Grand Rose SPA Hotel: Located in the city center, offering large capacity for bus groups.
Kuressaare Castle: The only intact medieval fortress in the Baltics. We organize medieval-themed gala dinners in the Bishop’s Hall or private reception tours.
3. Unique Group Activities We focus on “hands-on” culture.
Angla Windmill Park: We arrange bread-baking workshops where your delegates bake their own rye bread to take home.
Kaali Meteorite Crater: A guided nature walk to Europe’s most accessible meteorite impact site.
Off-Road Safaris: Jeep tours through the wild western coast of Saaremaa (Vilsandi National Park).
Why Choose the Islands for Your Event?
Total Focus: On an island, your team stays together. There are no distractions, making it perfect for team building.
Exclusivity: We can rent out entire boutique hotels or manor houses for your private use.
Sustainability: Saaremaa is a “Green Destination,” ideal for companies with strong CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) goals.
